Tight Control: If a vacuum hose pops off from the solenoid, the wastegate will stay shut and boost will skyrocket. With the limit at 220 kPa, the ECU will cut fuel/ignition immediately to save the motor.
Altitude Protection: As it go higher (lower atmospheric kPa), the turbo has to spin much faster to reach the same pressure. Lowering the limit at altitude protects the turbo from overspeeding.

Safety Note: Set Boost Cut (Fuel Cut) to 220 kPa (approx 1.15 bar) to catch overboost spikes without being dangerously close to the limit.
If it ain’t hitting the 201 kPa target during a 3rd gear pull, increase the values in the 100.0 TPS column by 2% at a time.
Hardware Note: MY08 STI TMIC installed. BOV deleted. Watch for compressor surge on lift-off. Larger core volume may require slightly higher WGDC to hit 1.0 bar target compared to stock core.
